Inside the World of Stace: ALICE + OLIVIA Hong Kong

An exclusive evening of fashion, art and pure glamour at The Magistracy, Tai Kwun — October 9, 2026

On the evening of October 9, 2026, Stacey Bendet — Founder, CEO and Creative Director of ALICE + OLIVIA — threw open the doors of The Magistracy at Tai Kwun and invited Hong Kong into her world. Not just the brand. Her world: the romantic, opulent, gloriously over-the-top universe of colour, art, lace and laughter that has defined ALICE + OLIVIA since its very first stitch. What followed was one of the most magical nights Hong Kong's fashion scene had seen all year.
A lifestyle shot of two women in black eveningwear posed on a vibrant pink velvet carpet surrounded by flowers, desserts, and ornate furnishings against red curtains and blue velvet seating.

A Night in the World of Stace

The Magistracy — that storied colonial courthouse nestled within the cultural complex of Tai Kwun — was barely recognisable by the time Stacey and her team had finished with it. Every surface was a love letter to the brand's founding obsessions: lush floral installations spilled from every corner, rich jewel-toned hues wrapped the walls, and ornate, vintage-inspired details turned the historic space into something closer to a fever dream than a cocktail party.

At the very heart of the room stood a dramatic dress installation — a centrepiece that stopped every arriving guest in their tracks. Constructed around the brand's signature Rouge Romance rose print — the same intoxicating bloom Stacey herself wore that evening — it was at once a work of art and a declaration of intent: this night was going to be something.

The iconic Stace Face, the brand's beloved signature motif, was woven throughout the space in ways both grand and intimate, setting the stage for a series of creative collaborations developed exclusively for Hong Kong.

The Guest List

Stacey welcomed an extraordinary constellation of friends, celebrities, VIPs, media and members of Hong Kong's creative community into the World of Stace. Korean pop star and Friend of the Brand JEON SOMI was the jewel in the crown of an already dazzling guest list, arriving in show-stopping ALICE + OLIVIA (more on her looks below).

She was joined by an array of luminaries: Grace Chan, Jeannie Ng, Gigi Cheung, Hedy Chan, Elanne Kong, Larine Tang, Asha Cuthbert, Jen Zhou, Taylor R, Sue Chang and many more — a who's who of Hong Kong's fashion, entertainment and creative worlds, all dressed to the absolute nines.

Only in Hong Kong

The Stace Face doesn't just decorate — it collaborates. For the Hong Kong event, Stacey commissioned a series of exclusive experiences that could only exist in this city, with these artists, on this night.

Hong Kong doll artist Ning Lau reinterpreted the iconic Stace Face as an exclusive collectible doll charm — a miniature objet d'art that guests could take home as a piece of the evening. Guests also had the chance to make their ALICE + OLIVIA pieces their very own, personalising a selection of styles through custom embroidery executed on-site.

The evening's most theatrical moment belonged to Hong Kong artist Natari Sadik, who hand-painted a one-of-a-kind pair of embellished jeans live during the event — watching artistry unfold in real time, the finished piece modelled on the spot by Katherine Saje. And for those who wanted their own grand entrance immortalised, a high-energy Glambot activation captured every arriving look in cinematic slow motion, because at the World of Stace, every moment deserves a film crew.

Food, Music & Local Flavour

If the décor set the scene, the food and music kept the magic alive long into the night. Stacey partnered with beloved Hong Kong bakery Butter to create custom confections that felt as beautifully considered as the brand itself — sweet, indulgent, and impossible to resist. Italian gelato institution Messina brought its Hong Kong outpost's most dreamy scoops to the party, while the room pulsed with energy courtesy of a DJ set by Christi McGarry, whose soundtrack gave the evening its heartbeat: celebratory, joyful, and just a little bit glamorous.

It was a night that felt deeply, unmistakably Hong Kong — rooted in the city's creative community and its own extraordinary energy — while being entirely, unmistakably Stace.

Standout Looks from the World of Stace

The pieces that made the night — and how to wear them.

From a sweeping black lace gown to a playful embellished knit, the looks worn at The Magistracy that evening were a masterclass in what ALICE + OLIVIA does best: dressing women to feel extraordinary. Here, the styles that stopped the room — and where to shop them now.

VIVIANA LACE GOWN — Black

For the moments that demand nothing less than a full gown: the Viviana arrived at The Magistracy in all her black-blossom lace glory. An off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, a stretch mesh lining, and a sweeping full-length skirt made this the unequivocal statement of the evening. Shop the Viviana Lace Gown.

ROUGE ROMANCE — The Print of the Night

The rose-red print at the heart of the venue's showstopping dress installation was the same intoxicating Rouge Romance bloom that Stacey Bendet herself wore to the event. The print lives across two stunning silhouettes in the current collection — the Diana Structured Midi Dress in Rouge Romance Black (Style CC610P67504B939) and the Vera Drop Waist Flare Mini Dress in Rouge Romance Black ($495). These are not the exact pieces from the evening, but they carry the very same spirit. Shop the Vera Flare Mini Dress.
