Miami is a destination of many luxuries. White sands, warm weather, beachside glamour and trendy nightlife. But it’s also a hot destination for design, fashion, art and architecture. Enter, the Miami Design District. A rejuvenated and vibrant neighborhood located in the heart of South Beach, where the worlds of luxury stores, celebrity-chef restaurants and awe-inspiring architecture collide. Designed by leading real estate developer DACRA and SB Architects, it’s no wonder that this urban neighborhood defies the odds of your typical shopping mall. Amongst the modern and sleek infrastructure, you’ll find incredible and unexpected murals painted across walls, shop fronts, sidewalks and even parking lots – all of which provided us with the perfect ambience for our Spring Arrivals shoot!
Designed by 2x4 and executed by Acme Murals, the exotic and breathtaking jungle wall took us on a tropical journey featuring our tie dye and rainbow striped pieces. The next mural, a black and white vortex created by trompe l’oeil (an art technique used to create 3D optical illusions), set the scene for our bold and powerful neon looks. And finally, what better location than the electrifying Design Museum Garage for our major monochrome moment and graphic geometrics?!
Make sure you check out the innovative and inventive Miami Design District next time you’re in the 305, and don’t forget to stop by the alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet store, which is located right in the heart of this architectural paradise!
