Meet one of the artists behind the Spring 2018 show.

Lola Schnabel happens to have some personal history with the Chelsea Hotel as a former resident and her history includes some collaborative work with Stacey Bendet, too (they worked on textile designs together back in 2015 created from Schnabel’s watercolors), so it only seems fitting that Lola Schnabel would appear as a featured artist for the Spring 18 collection. Bendet was inspired by a painting Schnabel was working on in Italy of petal-less flowers, delphiniums, and bleeding hearts and wanted to reflect the garden-esque imagery in the styling and clothing in what was known as Lola’s Artist Studio, where everything centers around a plaster sculpture of Bendet draped in the Lola print and the looks complimented it. The print is seen on an ethereal soft chiffon dress paired with a delicate floral headpiece and on a blouse with oversized pleated sleeves styled with denim flares adorned with edgy snap details. A pale blue bird print jacquard suit is given warm weather approval with shorts and a feminine twist with the Lola print reappearing on a pussy bow blouse. To round it all out, a tired white ruffled dress is embroidered with a dreamy garden motif of flowers and birds.
